DEKRA Media develops digital management training courses for Apleona

Each year, the e-learning modules inform around 500 Apleona executives of their responsibilities in occupational health and safety, the preparation of a risk assessment, the advantages of an integrated management system and other HSEQ topics. All of the modules were created using the Articulate Storyline authoring tool and made available as SCORM packages for use in Apleona's learning management system.

The texts for the modules came from different sources within this project. DEKRA Media developed the content itself for five of the eight modules, while Apleona supplied the concepts for three more modules from the field of Operational Technical Support. To ensure a uniform result, DEKRA Media initially created templates and sample films in advance – matching the Apleona corporate design, of course. The partners then agreed on a fixed structure for explanatory slides set to music, interactive exercises and short knowledge checks. This resulted in uniform products that DEKRA Media was able to deliver at short intervals thanks to careful preliminary planning.

DEKRA Media had already supported Apleona in the creation of a presentation for classroom teaching in 2019. At that time, the topic was work in confined spaces. After DEKRA Media created the e-learning modules for Apleona last year, the two companies are now working together again this year. This time, as part of the Apleona Safety Campaign 2022, a hybrid presentation model is being developed to educate employees about cut injuries both in the online presence and via digital self-study.
